Firm celebrates ten years of jobs joy
By Gurdip Thandi
A BUSINESS development firm is celebrating after helping to create more than 3,000 new jobs since it was set up ten years ago.
InStaffs revealed its success at a Developing Staffordshire event held at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre which charted the organisation's progress since its launch in 1997.
It proudly announced that around 3,300 jobs have been generated as a direct result of its support for firms in Lichfield alone.
This figure is drawn from hundreds of companies that have benefited from a host of advice in order to relocate or grow within the area. This includes gaining access to the interactive property search, site visits and help with recruitment issues and public relations consultancy.
John de Kanter, chief executive of InStaffs, said: "It has been a real roller-coaster ride, but one we feel has seen Lichfield emerge as one of the most desirable inward investment locations in the UK.
"We've seen unbelievable changes to every inch of the area and have been able to work with a wide range of strategic partners to tackle the challenges head-on and make the most of the opportunities that are growing by the day.
"Looking back at the figures, we are really pleased to have supported so many companies to set up new bases here and this has brought significant new job opportunities in both traditional and emerging sectors."
InStaffs was set up to promote Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire as a whole as a place for business relocation.
It was also backed by the Chambers of Commerce, Training and Enterprise Council and the six local authorities.
The county is promoted to local, national and international firms in a bid to attract them to the area.
